Problem:
Our vendors and customers are checked on a regular basis. If I do this manually I have to remember important information like Rating (international), Provider Rating (national) or the Proposed Credit Limit changes, so that I can make changes to the masterdata based on the given information.
If we do it automatically using the job queue, there is no possibility to get this information of changed values somehow.
The only workaround is to use the Creditsafe portal and work with portfolios and notifications there.
Solution / Change Request:
All checks get already stored within the Creditsafe Credit-Check Request Log (Type Request Report) and therefore a history of checks is existing.
Manual Checks:
After doing a check an information should pop up and inform about changed values. There should be a choice wether the user likes to see the history of all credit checks or not. If yes, all changed values within the recent check compared to the last should be formatted in bold.
Automated Checks
If checks are done automatically there should be a report showing always the last two checks formatted as above and only if one of the three values has changed since last check.
History Information
On a data record like vendor, customer etc. there should be a funtion within the Credit Check Fact Box to open a Credit Check History with all checks from this specific record and the recent check again should then be formatted like mentioned before.
Benefit:
When checking a data record for the first time, a decision is taken based on the data which credit limit is given or even if we enter into a business relationship at all. So it would be good if a changed rating etc. is clearly shown without having to get the information in a third party system where not everybody will have access or it will cost an extra time to get to this information.
The change will result in a better usability and better usage of the information within Business Central. Also in the history a good information is given about the general development of the credit wothiness over a longer time without having to filter for that.
